Motivation- Take Care of yourself

Even though taking care of yourself is quite a simple idea, sometimes we put ourselves on the back burner and forget to do so.  The world has a way of closing in on us whether it is a new baby, becoming a caregiver for aging parents, or starting a new business. These challenges can cause us to lose ourselves while trying to survive. In our selfless acts we forget that we need care also, so our mental and physical health and even our appearance suffers.  

The need to take care of you isn’t about will-power but is about self-preservation and self-love. In order to be the best to our love ones we have to be the best to ourselves. There are various ways to take a little time out for you, such as meditating, take a bubble bath, exercising, have lunch with friends, getting a new hairstyle, go shopping for a new pair of shoes or a new piece of clothing,  or get a manicure and a pedicure.

Using self-affirmations, and showing yourself some love is key and very important in maintaining a healthier you. 


  1. We should all appreciate the body that God gives us. Taking good care of it is a way of thanking Him. Sometimes kids and work do get in the way. Now that my children are not babies anymore, I try to focus more on myself by working out, eating right, and doing some pampering once in awhile. Thanks for this inspiring post, doll!
